2026 Looks Inevitable (Crypto)

Welp.

Every compliance officer in America just sighed. Every bank executive just saw a new revenue line. And every customer is about to see a new button in their online banking dashboard.

BECAUSE…

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency confirmed U.S. banks can now buy and sell Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other crypto as agents for customers.

Not as speculative inventory. Not as a side hustle. As a regulated financial service.

This is the clearest on-ramp yet for retail and institutional capital to flow directly through the banking system.

This alone is enough to kick off a bull market.

But it wasn’t alone.

Derivatives Just Went On-Chain

The CFTC just launched a pilot program specifically naming:

  • Bitcoin
  • Ethereum
  • USDC

…as acceptable tokenized collateral for derivatives markets.

Derivatives are the bloodstream of global finance. Allowing crypto to flow into that system is not incremental—it’s catalytic.

Billions in collateral demand can reprice an entire asset class overnight.

The CFTC even cited the Genius Act as the legal backbone.

Translation: They found the pinhole, and they’re driving an armored truck through it.

Even if that was it, I’d be happy and say, 2026 is shaping up to be a big one.

But that’s not even it.

And that’s not even the big one.

The Big One: Congress Is About to Move

The bipartisan crypto market structure bill is still on the fast-track.

Sen. Lummis is openly saying:

  • Full draft this week
  • Industry review immediately after
  • Markup next week
  • Less than 10 legislative days left
  • “We are at prime time.”

Washington may finally give crypto the one thing it has never had: a stable legal foundation.

And it’s coming sooner than even the prediction markets are saying.

Not Your Average Bear

Little by little, a crypto supercycle is no longer sounding like hopium to the average bear.

  • Regulation turning favorable
  • Institutions mobilizing capital
  • Banks offering access
  • ETFs multiplying
  • Sovereign wealth funds circling
  • Ethereum becoming global settlement
  • On-chain dollars exploding
  • Derivatives beginning to tokenize
  • Rate cuts coming

A supercycle isn’t what most people think.

A real supercycle is when the world upgrades to a new financial substrate—and most people only understand it in hindsight.

2025 was interesting.

2026 looks inevitable.

May you live in inevitable times.

Even if silver went to $200, or $500, or whatever number makes the internet mad… there will still be buyers. And tokenization just made it crazier.
