Caught: The AI Porch Pirate

“We caught her,” the cop said on the phone.

“That was quick,” I said.

“The video helped. Wanna press charges?”

“Is she going to return the books?”

He paused.

Translation: I’m probably not getting my books.

But, on second thought…

I hope she doesn’t give them back.

Let me explain.

The AI Porch Pirate

Earlier this week, a porch pirate swiped my package—caught in the act on camera.

(Smooth move.)

It was a big box.

In hindsight, much bigger than it should’ve been.

She probably thought it held something expensive. Instead, she made off with three books on AI. (She wanted loot and got homework instead. Sad trombone sound.)

If you’re curious, here are the three books I’m NOT reading this week…

Artificial Integrity: The Paths to Leading AI Toward a Human-Centered Future

Smart Government: Practical Uses for Artificial Intelligence in Local Government

Reweaving the Web: How together we can create a human-centered Internet of trust

Maybe when she opened the box, she saw the irony—stealing books on honesty, trust, and “artificial integrity.” (Heh.)

Maybe she’ll keep them.

Who knows? She might learn something.

Those books weren’t just about AI—they were about what AI could be. How we might steer this powerful technology toward something that benefits everyone.

(YES, EVEN YOU, LADY WHO STOLE MY BOOKS.)

But…

While I’m waiting for my replacements to arrive, someone else is already designing that future.

Musk’s Silent Partner (Update)

As we talked about yesterday…

Musk’s latest creation, xAI, is rewriting the rules of artificial intelligence.

In just three months, it’s acquired more computing power than OpenAI, Microsoft, Google, Meta, and other major tech players combined.

Moreover, when Trump takes the oath on January 20, don’t be surprised if AI policy bends toward Musk.

But here’s the part that no one’s talking about:

Musk’s secret weapon.

Recently, as you may know, James identified a “silent” xAI partner—a company building the very foundation that makes AI 2.0 possible.

They’re not flashy.

They don’t crave headlines.

Though you’ve probably heard the name, I could give you 100 guesses and you’d probably never get it. (At least, I wouldn’t have until James told me.)

But what they do have is the technology Musk needs to make xAI the dominant force in AI. This company has figured out how to unlock the full potential of AI.

James spent months digging into this.

Again, our research is not about betting on the obvious players.

It’s about getting in on the ground floor of something that could reshape everything.

For Altucher’s Investment Network members, James laid it all out in a full report.

Who this company is. Why their partnership with Musk changes the game. And how this could be your chance to ride the wave of AI 2.0.

Haven’t yet seen the report? Don’t forget to click here and log in for instant access.

Best part? No porch pirate’s going to snag this one.
