Choose Your Fighter: Altman v. Musk

One day, historians will look back on this day—2025’s Saint Patty’s Day.

They will see it as the beginning of the end. The day the first domino wobbled. The first crack in the ice.

The loose thread on fate’s sweater.

Yes…

The day the AI arms race ground to a halt.

This is, at least, according to Sam Altman and his crew. Unless, they say, a critical law passes ASAP.

Is Sam Altman right? Probably not.

Here’s why… and who is set to benefit the most from the shift happening under our feet.

(Hint: it rhymes with “Key Lawn Tusk.”)

One Law to Save Altmarica

Why is Altman freaking out?

It comes down to how AI learns.

AI models, as you know, devour massive amounts of data scraped from across the internet. The catch? Much of this data isn't public domain—it's protected by copyright.

OpenAI and others have built their empires on this grey zone, arguing their generative models fall under "fair use" because they don’t replicate copyrighted content exactly.

But now, lawsuits are flooding in and AI companies are starting to feel the heat. OpenAI says this could halt the entire U.S. AI boom.

Altman’s argument: If America restricts this data access, China won't—and the U.S. could lose its AI dominance. It’s a digital Cold War, fought not with nukes but neural nets.

Here’s the twist: It doesn’t matter either way. The AI industry itself is nearing a data dead-end.

The New Paradigm For AI

This raises the question: does copyright even matter if data is running out? According to Ilia Sutskever of OpenAI, we've already consumed most of the internet's useful data—the fossil fuel of AI.

Of course, more is created every day…

But it’s not evenly distributed. And it’s becoming harder to get.

That’s perhaps why OpenAI is pleading for leniency, pushing policymakers to prioritize “America's” (read: OpenAI’s) leadership.

BUT…

The tide is turning—Adobe, for example, has sourced its data without issue, proving there's another viable path forward. So, is data really the key? Or are we entering a new paradigm?

The answer:

Yes, we're entering an era where data scarcity is becoming yet another bottleneck. Yes, data is still key. Yes, we’re entering a new paradigm for AI.

So what does it mean?

All Roads Lead to Musk

Mainly, this means it will force innovation to shift toward four things:

1.] improved hardware

2.] smarter algorithms

3.] novel training methods

4.] proprietary data access

There’s only one company set to dominate all four of those in the near future: Elon Musk’s xAI.

Think about it:

xAI doesn’t just have access to an insane amount of proprietary data through the social media platform X. The xAI team has also emphasized developing novel training methods and smarter algorithms to offset the bottlenecks.

But it’s the first one, improved hardware, that will really set them apart. And after this week, anything you thought you knew about xAI will probably be completely irrelevant.

Paradigm Mastermind Group members are already aware of what we’re calling “Elon’s Endgame”... and how to play it.

You’re not? Be sure to check this out before March 18th, 2025. (Tomorrow.)

In short, xAI and Nvidia are doing something we haven’t yet witnessed in the AI space. And there’s only one way we know of to play it.
