Cocaine Quail vs. DOGE

Cocaine Quail vs. DOGE

Quick question for you.

Have you ever found yourself wondering…

Does tequila make sunfish more aggressive?

Does cocaine make Japanese quail more sexually active?

Or what about this:

Did Neil Armstrong say “one small step for man” or “one small step for a man”?

If yes…

You’re apparently asking all the right questions. And you might have some money waiting for you from our dear old Uncle Sam.

On Monday, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) X account shared some weird ways the government spends your tax dollars.

And, turns out, almost $2 million were used up to answer those exact three questions.

You’ve no doubt heard of DOGE -- Elon and Vivek’s project to cut government waste.

But you might not yet know the ins and outs.

So let’s dig in with these three questions of our own:

What is DOGE, really?

Is it really going to work?

And the REAL question: Where in the WORLD did they get cocaine? (The answer might surprise you.)

All that and more in today’s action-packed article.

What is DOGE, really?

Let’s look at some facts, also shared by DOGE’s X account:

- The Pentagon can’t fully account for $824 Billion

- There was $236 Billion in improper payments in federal programs in 2023

- $200 Billion in pandemic relief went to fraud/abuse

- The U.S. failed to track $1 Billion in Ukraine Aid

Count it up.

That's over $1.2 TRILLION in questionable spending. And those are just the highlights we know about.

Enter DOGE.

It's designed to operate outside the traditional government structure…

While maintaining official status to work with the White House and Office of Management Budget.

The mission? Cut $2 trillion from the federal budget.

DOGE is essentially betting that sunlight isn't just the best disinfectant - it's also the best way to get retweets.

(Or whatever we're calling them since Elon killed the bird.)

Is it really going to work?

Well… thing is, history isn't encouraging.

In 1982, Reagan tried something similar with the Grace Commission.

Their mission? Find government waste using private sector expertise. They identified $424 billion in potential savings over three years.

Alas, most recommendations gathered dust. Turns out, pointing at waste is easy.

Actually cutting it? That's another story entirely.

BUT…

DOGE is different in one crucial way: social media exposure.

Their X account already has massive reach, and they're planning a "leaderboard" of the dumbest government spending.

Transparency plus public shame is a powerful motivator.

OK. What about the cocaine?

Right.

The question we’ve all been waiting for.

According to the study, the cocaine was provided by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), Bethesda, MD.

As it happens…

That’s not that far from our Maryland HQ.

Unfortunately, when I called to ask if they needed any volunteer quail-sitters, they hung up.

(And before you ask - no, they don't have a gift shop.)

Look, we could spend all day cracking jokes about government-funded cocaine studies and tequila-drinking fish.

(We laugh so as not to weep.)

But here's what matters: While DOGE works on exposing waste, our team has identified something far more interesting...

A company that's actually solving one of the government's biggest messes -- and could get a big boost from DOGE’s mission.

And unlike studying drunk fish, this is work that absolutely must be done.

Dan Amoss and Jim Rickards recently briefed our Paradigm Mastermind Group members about this opportunity.

As Dan tells it, "This could be a multi-bagger."

And when Dan -- who never oversells an opportunity -- says something like that...

Well, we pay very close attention.

If you’re a Paradigm Mastermind Group member, you should’ve received the alert in your inbox.

As usual, we’re on the hunt for more ways to stay ahead of the puck. (But this latest one’s a biggie.)
